The Heart Of Gratitude
Today, we will be looking back in years and days. What we thought about becoming and one way or the other, became part of us either directly or indirectly.
When we talk about Gratitude, what does it mean? It simply means approaching each day with the heart of thanksgiving. I am certain a lot of us have the mindset of what should I be grateful for. My dear a lot, sleeping and waking up is a huge win for the day and let us cultivate the habit of celebrating our small wins. You know, it was late last year I came to the understanding of the importance of going out and coming back safely and sleeping and waking up. Late last year I lost one of my immediate cousins, he was in school, and they just resumed after the strike we got a call that he fell after playing football some weeks after his resumption and that was all. We couldn’t bring him back and funny thing was that a day before his final breath we all were still chatting around on our group chat on the outing we had in mind for December, well after his dismissal hence the end of the plan and the group chat. Why I am sharing this because this taught me that every moment matters we should take it seriously and say thanks to God for giving us the privilege to see the moment.
A few days ago, my brother, sister, and I were discussing “depression” and why some people settle for suicide which is not the best option for resolving a problem and I made them know that the foundation of depression is when you compare what you have or are with someone else’s. One thing is no two humans are the same and comparison kills faster than anything. oh, my mates are married, they are driving luxury cars, they have big houses and so many more which are vanity likewise have we put into consideration who we are better off? Please don’t get me wrong I did not say we should not think big, there is a saying “People we look at, we become”. Pray and Work, likewise work and pray. In everything, we do let us put God first and He will direct us. Wealth comes from him and him alone.
So back to our gratitude, we have to thank God, our parents, and everyone around us. I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone that has helped me in one way or another from my birth mother to every mother that looked after me, and a big thank you to my Father I never and will never take your sacrifices for granted. All my mentors all over the world, the ones that know me and those that have never had my name before, sooner or later you will all know me because I will forever be grateful to God for placing you all as role models for me. Thank you all. To my lovely readers, we are going places together.
I can’t control my tears right now, but I am grateful for all things both good and bad, my friends you guys are the best thing in my life, and my colleagues' thanks for the support. I love you all wholeheartedly. To people that gave me chances and opportunities even when I had low self-esteem a very big thank you and to my creator for not giving up on me even with my strong head, Thank YOU.
My today write up is just to say thank you for the years back and beyond and I came to realize that there is nothing I’ve said I wanted to become that I’ve not become like when I was small I wanted to go into Law and today I am an Advocate indirectly. I wanted to become a medical doctor and today I am a fitness Doctor even though just mine and I also have a doctorate in words 🤣🤣. I’ve had the dream of becoming a blogger and today I write for two platforms and still counting all thanks to God. I can’t count them all. There is a word that keeps me going “If you can think it, You can achieve it”. And always have this at the back of your mind, you are a blessing to this generation even when all the odds are against it but I say to you. YOU ARE A BLESSING and I am glad that our paths crossed. I will always be there and here for you.
Thanks for your support each day, you all get me on my toes daily and I love you all dearly 🥰🥰. #gratitudeday.
