So basically, I will be talking about the morphology behind the sleep, oh come on what is on your mind right now is, what is this lady here to teach us, even me I am not sure yet 🤗 but I know we can move over it together. Kindly follow on how we will learn how sleep affects us and how it adds value or devalues our life spans.

Please take note that sleep is just as important as food and exercise. It is good to have sleepless nights for our goals, but we need to strike a balance for both the goals and health-wise, because which body would you use to achieve the other goals? Due to the nature of our work, some of us don’t sleep at all, while others sleep for either 2 or 3 hours per day and some for a whole week maybe rest of 4 hours.

So let us start with the damages sleep causes in our body

  • Restlessness: Prior to now, I used to believe that hunger was the only factor that led to restlessness, but sleep deprivation also does. When we refer to being restless, we mean being unable to calm down. Sometimes when we sleep, however, our brains shift into restless mode. The mind begins to worry about numerous issues, leaving us exhausted and without the motivation to get through the day.
  • Sickness

Regardless of how busy we are, please let us get some sleep. Lack of sleep leads to illness because while you should be sleeping for the body to renew or carry out its functions, you are awake to obstruct the processes, and gradually the body becomes exhausted with symptoms.

  • Lack Of Proper Thinking

I know you’re going to reply, “What does sleep have to do with proper thinking?” But have you ever been asked a question after going a week without sleeping? You can determine how effective you are by keeping track of how long it takes you to respond when you get a good night’s sleep versus when you don’t.

Well, improper thinking prevents proper action. For example, if I don’t get enough sleep, I’ll only be productive for about half of the day. Because of this, I make an effort to get at least four hours of sleep each day, sometimes even more. For the extra hours, I basically go back to sleep myself that babe, you need the sleep 🤗.

So less of the damage show now, let us move to the main talk of the day which is the Importance of Sleep.

5 IMPORTANCE OF SLEEP.

Why do we need to sleep? The very first question of the day is, why do you think God gave us the night to sleep and nature accepts that for humans? Have you noticed that once it is night the body is accustomed to sleeping 😴 🛌 💤 , bed duty call? The why’s we shall be told below.

  1. Regeneration of cells

Let’s go back to biology class where we learned that a cell is the smallest particle in the human body. This is true, and we also know that these tiny particles make up the human body and aid in the development of the various systems that it needs. One such system is the nervous system, which is in charge of the neurons and how the brain functions normally or abnormally.

Have you ever wondered why babies do nothing than sleep? This is your take-home assignment, when you get the answer kindly reach out to me in the comment 🤗. This is by the way. So the second important of sleep.

2. Less Stress And Mood Improvement

Less stress and mood improvement are two interconnected concepts that describe a state of emotional and mental well-being.

So let us take them one after the other.

Stress is a natural physiological response to challenging situations, but when it becomes chronic, it can have a negative impact on both physical and mental health, including mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Reducing stress can involve a variety of strategies, such as practicing mindfulness, exercising, spending time in nature, getting enough sleep, and engaging in hobbies or activities that bring joy and relaxation. These activities can help to decrease the production of stress hormones and promote feelings of calm and relaxation.

Improving mood can also involve a variety of strategies, such as social support, cognitive-behavioral therapy, medication, and engaging in activities that promote positive emotions, such as gratitude journaling, practicing acts of kindness, and spending time with loved ones. These activities can help to increase the production of feel-good chemicals in the brain and promote positive emotions, leading to an improved overall mood.

Overall, less stress and mood improvement are important components of overall health and well-being and can be achieved through a combination of self-care practices, social support, and professional help when necessary.

3. Weight Maintenance In Check

Weight maintenance is the process of maintaining a stable body weight within a healthy range. This involves ensuring that the energy consumed through food and drinks is balanced with the energy expended through physical activity and bodily functions.

With a proper sleeping pattern, we have our weight gain in check, we are active and a have a plan B on how to get the day running.

4. Effective Thinking

Back in school, we were taught words and the opposite, so what you get when you sleep well is effective thinking, efficient delivery, and sound execution time. Try this method of you sleeping well at most 5 to 6 hours a day, you have almost 18 hours of the day to make your goals. So this will teach us time Management. How to manage our time is a topic for another day.

Effective thinking is the ability to approach problems and challenges in a rational, logical, and systematic way to generate well-reasoned and creative solutions. It involves using critical thinking skills such as analysis, evaluation, synthesis, and creativity to solve problems and make informed decisions.

5. Health

Health is wealth they say but I am here to add to this that sleep is healthy, you need sleep for the heart to keep beating.

Health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It refers to the overall condition of a person’s body, mind, and emotions, and the ability to carry out daily activities without limitations.

So today, I will be leaving us with, my people please take care of yourself, sleep well, and eat well then you have the energy to keep up with the fight and don’t worry you are going to win. I will keep supporting you all and don’t forget to share with me after you are done winning 🤗🥰. I love you all and thanks for always supporting me. Thanks for reading my write-up today, see you next time, same venue and the same platform.
